I was born in Romania but I have a profound love for the United States of America where I lived an important period of my life. I discovered there that excellence exists and the path of professionalism is made of a” savant mélange” of humanity, skills, open-mindedness and making decisions. United States of America gave me the chance to act and to innovate. Personally, I define innovation as a social, collaborative process involving artists, scientists, humanists and industry professionals working together on new problems and opportunities raised by technological and cultural change.
B1-AKT is proud to announce the partnership with SONU – Sorbonne pour l’Organisation des Nations Unies.
Crafting for Change is a project from the Development Division from Sorbonne for the United Nations Organisation SONU. This project aims to help communities in distress through the development of craftsmanship.
In order to achieve this, three workshops linking design students and craftsmen take place, two in Argentina and one in France. In Paris, refugee craftsmen are currently working with design students from The SorbonneUniversity.
Later this year an exhibition will take place showing the work from the three workshops where the public will be able to appreciate our craftsmen’s work and will be able to purchase some of the pieces.
The aim of it all is to create a positive image for these communities, refugees and rural craftsmen in order to enhance their social and economic integration into society.

Migrant Integration Lab / Europe
Laura Petrache is talking about migrant entrepreneurship, mentors & migrant relation, intercultural dialogue and networking By supporting migrant and social entrepreneurship we enable others in the wider community to recognize the contributions which migrants bring and this is a very important issue.
We are providers of a relational basis for resolving any difficulties and conflicts that may arise in the process of integration. In fact we are creating the best conditions for people who arrive in Europe to be innovating entrepreneurs, change makers as to act and create value by: Empowering migrants by building confidence, skills, access to opportunities and developing their networks with others and diaspora.
Promoting trust and good relations within neighborhoods, e.g. through welcoming initiatives, mentoring, etc. Creating additional ways of recognizing newcomers’ qualifications, training and/or professional experience Developing constructive intercultural dialogue and thoughtful public discourse Promoting a balanced gender representation, through awareness raising, information campaigns and capacity-building Helping them to implement their livelihood or entrepreneurial projects

« A sustainable solution to a world-wide crisis »
The purpose of this report is to serve as a guide for national and international integration governments, actors and facilitators, policy makers, to turn a crisis into a societal, economic, cultural and sustainable development advantage.
This report is based on
Yannick Le Guern :
« For me, the new leadership is change making, driven by transcendent purposes and develops global sustainability.
In my opinion, new leadership must be based on :
The new leaders must be aware of a mission, ethically driven, developing axiological action, in other words: creating sustainable communities interacting around common values.
I believe that the new leadership must be agile and collaborative. It must be committed to global citizenship, bringing, its own contribution to the common venture, creating evolution.
One of its purposes would be to affect public policies as to enable a sustainable future.
Moreover new leadership is knowing how to identify and apply appropriate economic, moral and political incentives to actually incorporate sustainable development into our daily lives. »

The migrant crisis has been one of the most prominent issues faced by European Union. I think its crucial to find change-makers who are trying to create significant social impact by training migrants to become competitive work force for EU. I had a chance to meet Yannick Le Guern & Laura Petrache and ask them few questions about their initiative MIGRANT INTEGRATION LAB which aims to resolve such complex issue. I hope readers would be able to draw some inspiration and insights to follow their path.
Yes, indeed it actually is and not seems to be . As I encountered some of the issues that migrants are encountering now days and after an experience in Syrian ground, I wanted to build together with Yannick the co-founder of MIGRANT INTEGRATION LAB, a global European device permitting the sustainable integration of migrants and ethnic minorities. For us a welcoming culture is one that contributes by helping migrants, newcomers and their families overcome obstacles in all areas of life, while also providing business start-up assistance and targeted employment. This is why we facilitate and foster economic and social integration of migrants by supporting them in the development of new business initiatives.
Migrant Integration Lab- Sustainable Solutions and B1-AKT-Leading Sustainable Strategies & Paragon Communication are pleased to announce Sciences Po Refugee Help Leading Partnership.
Sciences Po Refugee Help is a student association working to uphold the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in France through short and long-term aid and integration.
Born in September 2015, at the heavily mediatised peak of the European refugee crisis, their goal was first and foremost to bring emergency humanitarian aid to street camps and housing centres in the Île de France region. Since, the association has also started working towards longer-term initiatives, specifically regarding the integration of asylum seekers and refugees.
CUBE. Your Take on Europe aims at educating, engaging and empowering young people across Europe to envisage the future they want to live in. CUBE gathers diverse opinions across the European Union and reinvigorates European civil society by amplifying these untold stories in Brussels. CUBE facilitates this process in three steps: it provides a workshop toolkit for teachers, creates a digital platform for European youth organisations, and aspires to become a European youth lobby.
Toolkit: CUBE provides a digital workshop toolkit on its website containing educational material triggering critical reflection on the future of the European Union:
The Toolkit is yours! The toolkit can be downloaded by teachers and facilitators. The workshops take place in your local school, ensuring that all youngsters can participate, regardless of their background. Within the familiarity of classrooms, individual counter-narratives can be shared while critical thinking is being fostered.
B1-AKT teams up with Oremis Plaisir d’Apprendre- EdYOUfest is led by a consortium of master teachers & entrepreneurs who share a vision of bringing the Start Up movement to education. We do this by sourcing amazing locations around the world, building very carefully curated communities of teachers and learners, doers and makers, creators, artists and investors, and bringing them all together for three and a half days of collaboration, sharing, and idea ignition. EdYOUfests usually begin on a Friday evening and conclude on a Tuesday morning.
EdYOUfest works closely with host communities and schools & plans its retreats in ways that celebrates local culture. School children from the area are offered the chance to display & present their work. Merchants from the host community are given first chance to display & sell their goods. The local tourism board is given a central exhibit area free of charge. EdYOUfest aims to add something of value to the local community by supporting business and bringing in delegates from around the world who will be staying, shopping, and eating in the host community.
2017 and Beyond EdYOUfest is currently building retreats in France, Italy, Ecuador, and Japan and discussions are under way for EdYOUfest retreats in Iran and Brazil. To learn more about these retreats or to look into ways you might partner with us as a local host, workshop provider,(,) or sponsor, please sign up for our newsletter at http://edyoufest.com and get in touch with us at email@example.com
