Leadership lessons from Rugby: steering Complexity through Collective Intelligence

12 Mai Leadership lessons from Rugby: steering Complexity through Collective Intelligence

B1-AKT had the pleasure of delivering a training session at the French Rugby Federation (FFR) on Management and Complex Project Steering.

Rugby offers a powerful lesson in leadership: no player sees the entire field, yet the team moves as one. This collective performance is built on trust, role clarity, real-time adaptation, and mutual accountability—principles that are equally essential for organizations operating in complex environments.

The discussions also highlighted two key dimensions of future-ready leadership: Human Innovation, the ability to adapt and respond collectively in real time, and Female Leadership, which brings relational intelligence, inclusion, and sustainable impact to high-performance systems.

A sincere thank you to the FFR teams for their engagement and inspiring exchanges, and a special thanks to Ingrid Ruet, Stéphanie Bourgeois, and Thomas Lesur for making this collaboration possible.
